The second edition of the International Construction Measurement Standards (ICMS 2) was developed by a 50 strong global coalition of professional bodies, including the IET Project Controls Network. For the fifth year in a row, Engineering Open House Day saw children and their parents go behind the scenes of well-known engineering and technology brands, as 64 companies got involved with 53 events taking place up and down the country. Companies such as Amazon, The National Theatre, Ofcom, Royal Mail and BBC Birmingham opened their doors to showcase the huge variety of engineering and technology roles within.
