Hi everybody! I am a first year student at Strathclyde University doing a masters in Manufacturing engineering. As part of my course I have to undertake periods of industrial placement during my summer breaks. I applied for sponsorship with IBM and had an interview last week and am awaiting their decision. I realise that getting sponsorship with an international company would be a great opportunity but some people have been telling me that I would be better off trying to get placements with different companies. They think this would provide me with better a experience of industry. I am not sure what I should do!! Anyone who has any experince in this area or who could give me any advice on what I should do I would be very grateful.
